Johann

It is not the baroque

beauty of Bach

that makes me succumb to surrender

of miraculous intimacy

the air he propels around me

over me

under me

seducing shadows

to a rich sonorous slumber

He orders my universe into tonal beauty

and the world is no longer filled

with wild lunacy

or wonton longings

just libidinal love

just lush luxuriant love

just love
